Orient College is an advanced academic institution affiliated to Cambridge University, UK, working locally in close cooperation with British Council and Ministry of Education to provide A Level programmes with academic excellence to our students. Orient has been running the programmes in international standard in its separate \'A Level Block\' since 2003 A.D. Orient is proud of its A Level students for their outstanding performance. \'Nepal Top in Business Studies\' and 100% pass result with 75% \'A\' grades in past years and \"Nepal Top in Chemistry\' and 100% pass results in 2010 exams are some examples of our success. GCE A Level : Basic Information
» A Level was started in Nepal in 1987 AD in Budanilakantha School.
» About 23 institutions have been running A Level Program in Nepal now.
» Students who have passed SLC or O level or equivalent exams can apply for A Level.
» The A Level courses have been designed for two years.
» Students can sit in exams twice a year i.e. May/June and Oct/Nov session.
» The results are released within 2 months of final exams.

» A Level is equivalent to plus two of HSEB or PCL of Tribhuvan University.
» Cambridge applicants are encouraged to study either four or five subjects but students taking four subjects will not be disadvantaged compared with those taking five subjects.
» Students can appear for AS (core) level exam in first year and after successful completion of AS papers, they can sit for A2 (extension) level exam or can directly appear for A level exams after two years of study.
